JB Dunn is best known as the front man of Frederick's own, The Secondhand Ramblers. We believe him to be one of Frederick's most shining musical talents. JB is more than just a powerful singer, a good songwriter, and a great guitar player. He is an entertainer. His years of experience performing in front of crowds have cultivated in him a quiet confidence allowing him to not only be perfectly at ease on a stage, but to put his audiences at ease, as well. His sets vacillate between gripping performances of his songs-Americana, folk, and alt-country in nature-to laughter at his stage banter that allows us subtle glimpses into his sarcastic and self-deprecating sense of humor. That's part of his appeal-JB gives us his all and then shrugs and cracks a joke as though it's no big deal....though we can assure you that, when he does drop by to sing a song or two at open mic, every other performer dreads performing immediately after him because he sets the bar so high. His music is for fans of Ryan Adams, Bon Iver, and for folks who value songwriting as a craft and musicianship as an art.
