Nicky C & The RSB (Bluesy Rock & Roll for fans of Allman Bros, Black Crowes & Kings of Leon)

Nick Collins’ booming bass and soaring vocals create a comforting and bluesy feel, accompanied by the sound of Josh Stansfield’s soulful lead guitar, and Justin Ehrlich’s explosive drums. The band is diverging from the ideology of Blues-Rock purists, by creating a fresh alternative and noteworthy sound that is reminiscent of the Allman Brothers, The Black Crowes, and Kings of Leon.

Nick and Justin have been playing together in various bands since they first met at Towson University in 2004, and once Josh met the duo, the band has become unstoppable. This three-member band began close to the nation’s capital in Fairfax, VA, in December of 2012. The band released their first self-titled EP in June of 2013, paving the way for their first, full-length album, “Much Obliged” released in August 2014. Since their formation they have played at over 60 shows and festivals such as The Mad Tea Party Jam 3, Pink Moon, Doah Fest, and Not Fade Away.
Nicky C and the RSB have shared the stage with headlining artists like Papadosio, The Werks, Dopapod, Tauk, PBR, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Turkuaz and ELM. They also directly supported fellow artists like Jimkata, Spiritual Rez, The Heavy Pets, American Babies, Stokeswood, The Shack Band and Moogatu.

"For those of you who enjoy good ole gritty Southern Rock, Nicky C is definitely for you. Do you enjoy the Drive by Truckers, the Black Crowes, the Allman Brothers ? (I hope everyone answers yes to all of these). In all sincerity this is some great work from a strong power trio, a new band seeking to make its mark on the local music scene. This track exudes their rising and growing talent on the scene. "It Takes A Woman" comes off their forthcoming album, Much Obliged, which was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Kenny Eaton at Mystery Ton Studios."
