Mink's Miracle Medicine (old-timey w/ indie punk influences)

Mink’s Miracle Medicine (Harper's Ferry, WV) draw on their backgrounds of old-timey country and indie-punk music to create a thoughtful mesh of twang inspired rock n roll!

Mink's Miracle Medicine formed in 2013 in Charlottesville at the hands of songwriters and multi-instrumentalists Melissa Wright and Danny Zezeski.

The duo draw on their respective backgrounds of old-timey country and indie-punk music to create a thoughtful mesh of twang inspired rock n' roll.

Singer and guitarist Melissa Wright was born and raised at the foothills of the Blue Ridge, dreaming constantly and frolicking madly between jazz music on the trombone and bluegrass with The Acoustic Burgoo. After high school, she attended Berklee College of Music on scholarship and achieved an undergrad degree before age 22. After graduation she relocated to Charlottesville to the Magnolia House, a DIY house/venue of notable importance to the small but thriving indie scene in Central VA.

Meanwhile, Daniel, fresh off the rails, learned how to fingerpick on the acoustic guitar while wheelchair bound after a freight accident. His punk roots came alive in his songwriting and he started a solo project which he called Beako, signed to County Wide Records, and became a pillar of the Charlottesville music scene. He is well known for his songwriting and his good looks!
