Crooked Hills is a hard-charging thunderhorse of a rock band hailing from Frederick MD and the surrounding foothills of the Appalachian mountains.
Crooked Hills is known for their energetic live show and a sound saturated with massive riffs and lyrics inspired by the rich dark history of the area.
Crooked Hills plays a style of heavy music with elements pulled from metal and hardcore, but also equally infused with classic rock swagger and bluesy southern grooves. A tight and driving rhythm section foundation supports wailing guitar leads and screaming vocals.
Crooked Hills has played numerous venues in the Maryland and Virginia area since coming together in 2015. Recent line-up additions have enhanced and solidified the granite monolith that is the Crooked Hills sound.
Crooked Hills released and on-line 3 song EP at the beginning of 2017 and is currently in-studio finishing a full-length to be released later this year.

"These songs either snap or roar depending on how the band plays off each other...This is all quite brilliant and the crowd seems to sense that little bit extra that these guys have. This band is well worth your attention." -DC Rock Live
"Mana by Time Columns is a bizarre, gutsy, beautiful and downright masterfully crafted album...that absolutely shines amidst a sea of unsuccessful underground post-rock, avant-garde and experimental music. Count this one as a serious landmark" -The Silver Tongue
"I fell in love with this band...Time Columns is the pure essence of essential musicianship...It's moody, dark, progressive, and catchy...Best album all year" -Independent Feedback
"Their music is powerful post-rock done in a friendly and welcoming manner. The influences are literally everywhere on this album...I really feel like 'Mana' should appeal to a wide array of fans" -Postrockstar
"Time Columns...is like a child Hercules, packing a serious punch in a bite-sized morsel...impressing me with its ability to go from chaotic and calm and back...Follow this band now, they WILL take off."
